BIG news day today! First off, Pulse of Radio reports Red Hot Chili Peppers have postponed their upcoming U.S. tour due to singer Anthony Kiedis sustaining multiple injuries to his foot requiring surgery, according to a press release issued by the band's publicist. Kiedis recently went under the knife to remove crushed sesamoid bone and correct a detached flexor tendon in his foot. As a result, the start of the trek has been pushed back from January 20th in Sunrise, Florida to March 29th in St. Petersburg, Florida. See the Road Rage page for the changes to their tour schedule….As Corey Taylor is this week's Featured Artist on hardDrive XL, here's a little update. He recently informed us the next Stone Sour album could be a 2-disc concept record, as if you could mix Pink Floyd's “The Wall” with Alice In Chains “Dirt” on steroids. Sounds interesting. Also sounds like that is on the front burner and a new Slipknot record could be further back on the stove…..Speaking of Alice In Chains, Jerry Cantrell told Rolling Stone the band is working away on their next album, but was sidelined by surgery he had on his shoulder….Korn will announce a string of shows ranging from the midwest to the west coast on Tuesday. The brief run will include openers Kill the Noise and a new dub step DJ, J Devil. (Make sure you are there early for J Devil. He's also the lead singer for Korn!)…..Dave Navarro will drop by the hardDrive studios next week to talk about his new Spike TV show, “Inked,” which debuts on Tuesday night at 10 PM ET. Dave will host the show which is a reality show pitting some of America's most popular tattoo artists against each other for a $100,000 prize and a feature in a magazine. Dave will also promote the upcoming Jane's Addiction “Theatre of the Escapists” Tour, kicking off next month….I am hearing lots of tour info I can't really reveal yet about Shinedown and Halestorm on separate tours. News will be coming soon on both. The new Halestorm single is called “Love Bites (And So Do I)” and it'll be on iTunes on Feb 14. I am also hearing their are rumblings in the original GNR camp and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. I am excited about all and can't wait to share!…Happy 47th to Rob Zombie, Happy 42nd to Zack De La Rocha of Rage Against the Machine.
