Slash has posted a snippet of his song “You're A Lie,” which you will hear Monday night on the XL! Hit www.slashonline.com now! Meanwhile, I am counting the hours (about 720) til Slash hits the hardDrive studios later next month! He'll spend about 5 hours with us talking to radio stations and hardDriveRadio! So excited! Love me some Slash!….A few weeks ago when Sully Erna and Mike Mushok dropped by the studios to promote the Mass Chaos Tour, one of our listeners wanted to know when Sully's “Avalon” live DVD would be released. Well, we now know it will be in late April. And it will be all dressed up in a nice box set with a documentary, posters and incense. (Sully loves him some incense!) I gotta tell ya, I really enjoyed the show I saw. His band was amazing. The shows were very ethereal and uplifting. I don't recall head-banging once all night! I am sure he will have snippets from it soon on his website…..Pearl Jam guitarist Stone Gossard's other band, Brad, will issue its fifth album, titled United We Stand, on April 24th. The group is now offering a free download of a new song, “A Reason To Be In My Skin,” which fans can obtain from their website. Gossard said in a statement, “After 20 years as a band, Brad's brotherhood remains intact and vibrant. I couldn't be more excited about our latest opus.” Brad will tour in support of the new album this spring. Get more info and check out the free track at www.thebandbrad.com. (FMQB) ….Former Hollywood Undead frontman and co-founder Deuce will join the lineup of the Fight To Unite Tour, which begins on April 5th in Mesa, Arizona. The trek will promote the release of Deuce's debut solo album, “Nine Lives,” which arrives on April 24th. The first single from the set is called “America.” Deuce was the main singer, songwriter and producer on Hollywood Undead's 2008 debut disc, “Swan Songs,” but left the group in 2010 before they began recording their sophomore set, last year's “American Tragedy.” Deuce will also be dropping by the hardDrive studios in NYC the end of March. We're getting busy! ….Today I will be on the hotLine with Trevor from Thousand Foot Krutch. Been a while since we last spoke, so looking forward to that. They're currently on the road with Red. Their 8th album, “The End is Where We Begin” drops Apr 17th. They just released “Let the Spark's Fly” (or are about to) and I gotta ask him why the props to Taco Bell! (Especially when Lzzy Hale of Halestorm told me her band is banned from eating it due to “combustible reasons.”) …. Cavo and Janus have announced a trek and I have posted in Road Rage…..Today, we wish Slipknot percussionist Chris Fehn # 3 a very happy 39th. Dominic Chianese turns 81 and yes, folks, he's still alive, Abe Vigoda turns 91! On Saturday, Bert McCracken of The Used turns 30! And Sunday, Timmy C, The Simmering T, Timothy Commerford of Rage Against The Machine & Audioslave turns 43. Have a great weekend! See ya Monday!
