Good morning. Had a rough weekend. Another dear friend is gone. This man was the cornerstone of the early days at Atlantic Records. He was instrumental in the careers of countless artists from The Rolling Stones to Led Zeppelin. He was also a former basketball Olympian from Turkey. His best friend was the legendary DJ and program director of WNEW-FM Scott Muni. His name is Tunc Erim, and he was Ahmet Ertegun's right hand man. He was also the reason the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is centered in Cleveland, OH because Cleveland always rocked! Play Led Zep 1 today at full blast and toast to the sky! He really was a special person…..Onto the news. Rob Zombie will enter the studio in June with his merry music makers John 5, Piggy D and Ginger Fish to make the next Zombie album! The plan is to make it in a remote place (me thinks in MA) where there will be no distractions, especially since his “The Lords of Salem” movie production is almost over. Hopefully it will be out before the end of the year. Meanwhile, Rob will tour with Megadeth. See Road Rage….Duff McKagan's recently released autobiography, “It's So Easy (And Other Lies),” will be released on Mar 20th in paperback. Worth the read!…Happy 42nd today to John Frusciante, former guitarist for Red Hot Chili Peppers.
