Hello! Had a great time yesterday with the members of Adrenaline Mob: Mike Orlando, Russell Allen, Mike Portnoy and John Moyer. (Everyone assumes it's Portnoy's band, but it's not.) John you know from Disturbed, but I didn't know back in Austin, where he lives, John has started a music clinic for kids called Natural Ear Music (www.naturalearmusic.com) where he teaches kids how to play and how to work as a group. He also helped form a kids' band called the Aviators. He says they rock really hard and have their own material! John is especially proud his organization is helping the community with fund raising efforts, including one coming up on April 22 in Austin for the Dell Children's Hospital. Right on!….Rush will receive Revolver Mag's Ronnie James Dio Achievement Award at this year's Golden Gods ceremony and performance on April 11th at Club Nokia in LA. The show will be broadcast live on XBox Live and on the Revolver and XBox Facebook pages. Performers that evening include Marilyn Manson, Korn and Black Veil Brides. Meanwhile, earlier that night, Pantera will premiere their “lost track” recorded during the “Vulgar Display of Power” album sessions 20 years ago. The song is called “Piss” and after Vinnie Paul mixed the song, he can't even believe it never made the album. (Too many Black Tooth's perhaps???) Anyhow, we're all looking forward to festivities and give Revolver two devil horns up for their commitment to hard rock and heavy metal music!…..Lou Brutus was on the hotLine last night with Clown from Slipknot for nearly an hour! They'll be taking Head's new band Love & Death out with 'em. They plan to finish things up back home in Wales….Taylor Hawkins of Foo Fighters has been saving his bank to put down on a new home he's purchased for his family from comedian Howie Mandel. The 7000 sq ft home outside of LA cost Taylor 2.7 million! Nice!….”Sunset Strip” is a documentary film about the legendary 1.5 mile strip in W. Hollywood where thousands of bands either made it or didn't. Ozzy, Slash, Alice Cooper and Billy Corgan were some of the interviewees who are featured.
