I woke up Saturday and after looking at my MegaMillions ticket, realized I could stop fantasizing about what I would do if I won all that money! Sigh!….This coming weekend on hardDrive, Lou Brutus speaks with Five Finger Death Punch frontman Ivan Moody, who will announce the winner of our “Remember Everything” Contest. If you recall, entries were based on stories revolving around what their song, “Remember Everything,” brought to your memory. The nearly 500 stories were all intense and I didn't envy the band's job of sorting through them all and finding that one person whose story best hit home for them. So be listening to the show over Easter weekend for the announcement!….Sad news today out of the Slayer camp. Armand Crump, guitar tech for Kerry King for many years, passed away on Saturday. Our hearts and prayers go out to the Slayer and Crump family….Hard to believe the Rolling Stones have been together for 50 years, but it is true. A documentary is in the works and the reported tour for the band has been postponed til next year….Speaking of legends, Red Hot Chili Peppers are hoping Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page will join them on stage at one of their UK shows this summer. The reclusive Page has made appearances before, most notably with Foo Fighters. UK fans will have to wait 'n see. Meanwhile, speaking of the Peppers, they kicked off their tour on Thu night in Tampa, FL and came on stage wearing black hoodies with the words “Ode to Trayvon, Stand What Ground,” in support for Trayvon Martin. Stand What Ground is the Florida law that allows a person to take deadly force if they feel their life is being threatened. I think if that law was active in NYC, it would be like the wild west out there. It is such a confounding situation, I dunno what to say about it…..The Warped Tour 2012 will include Rise Against on 4 shows, the first appearance by The Used in over 10 years, along with Taking Back Sunday, Yellowcard and New Found Glory. The tour kicks off Jun 16 in Salt Lake City and ends in Portland, OR on Aug 8th…..Sonny Sandoval of P.O.D. is part of an organization called The Whosoevers.
