Oh man! I am reading Fifty Shades of Grey. Ladies! Be warned! ……Well, today is a big day! Our main man, Lou Brutus, will be hosting a big press conference today for Five Finger Death Punch, who have a huge announcement. More coming later, so check our site and our Facebook page!….So many new concerts to report! First, System of a Down and Deftones! See Road Rage under both band’s names. Deftones are currently in the studio in LA with producer extraordinaire, Nick Raskulinecz (Foo Fighters, Stone Sour, Alice in Chains, Deftones “Diamond Eyes.”) We hope to have a phoner with one of the guys soon. On the other hand, the System boys are not doing press, which is a bummer, eh? Hopefully I will bother them so much that one of them will cry “uncle” and give in! LOL The tour will include two local NYC area shows, Jones Beach and PNC in Jersey. We’re in luck and can see it twice!….Pulse of Radio reports ex-Guns N’ Roses guitarist Slash will release his second solo album, titled Apocalyptic Love, on May 22nd, and a limited edition of the new disc has been made available for pre-order at Slash’s website, slashonline.com. The limited edition includes an in-studio coffee table book featuring 48 pages of behind-the-scenes shots from the studio. Only 1,000 copies of this set will be made available, and the first 100 orders from the U.S. will also receive an autographed photo of Slash. Also included in the bundle is the album on two colored vinyl discs — one red and one white — an exclusive T-shirt and downloads of the entire album and the first single, “You’re A Lie.”…Pulse also reports guitarist Kevin “Noodles” Wasserman of the Offspring has posted a video in which he answers a few questions about the band’s upcoming 9th studio album. The disc, titled Days Go By, is due out sometime this summer. According to Punknews.org, Noodles said the set features some of the band’s “most rocking” material in a long time, and that it reminds him of the music the group played “20 years ago.” Yeah! That puts a smile on my face! A single is coming soon…..Puscifer, fronted by our friend Maynard James Keenan, have announced a new tour. See it in Road Rage….According to an item on RockAccess, Call Me No One (new band from Morgan Rose & Clint Lowery of Sevendust) have added Rek Mohr, bassist from Hurt, and guitarist Alan Price of Souls Harbor to the line-up. No word yet on a tour, but I imagine it will be announced shortly….Buckcherry have announced their new album, Confessions, will be out in September. The band is touring soon. They have a track on the “Avengers: Assemble” soundtrack called “Wherever I Go.”….Happy 39th today to Brian Marshall of Creed and Alter Bridge. Did you know Brian and his wife own a resort in Costa Rica? And Happy 49th to former Faith No More bassist Billy Gould.
