I am so glad it’s Friday. But I have these neighbors from hell. Third time this week I was wakened by them before 6 AM. This is downright evil. I need to get some of my musician
friends to come over and blast them out of bed when they retire at 9:30PM. I think it’s only fair, right?…..Watched that hologram of the late Tupac Shakur performing at Coachella with Dre and Snoop. Crazy! I can’t figure out how they did it, but it’s something else. I bet Snoop and Dre had to smoke some serious chronic to be able to get through that song without freakin’ out! Now the company that came up with the hologram concept to resurrect dead artists is talking about doing one for Kurt Cobain, Jimi Hendrix, Michael Jackson, Elvis and Whitney. (Did you know there are publicists who specialize in dead celebrities? That is crazy, too!) Come on, leave the dead alone. Isn’t it sort of like disturbing King Tut’s tomb in a way? It’s freaky. What do you think of it?…..Mark Tremonti has set a July 10th release date for his first solo album, “All I Was.” It’s coming out on his own Fret 12 Records, distributed by EMI. I think the first single is gonna be “You Waste Your Time.” Stay tuned for updates…System Of A Down vocalist Serj Tankian has released a teaser video for “Figure It Out,” the first single from his third solo album, Harakiri. The plot of the explicit language teaser follows two thugs, one played by Tankian, who kidnap, torture and waterboard an innocent mailbox. The interactive clip even lets the viewer choose an ending. A separate official music video will be released shortly. Harakiri drops on July 10th….The Rockstar Uproar Tour should be announced on Tue, May 1st….Celebrating birthdays today: Former Kiss guitarist Ace Frehley turns 61 and Days of the New frontman Travis Meeks is 33.…Have a great weekend. I’m getting out of town so I can sleep REALLY LATE tomorrow morning!
