Slow newsy day today people.  As I type this, I’m listening to a couple of the songs Slash and company performed here in NYC on Tuesday night at Irving Plaza.  Check out “Standing in the Sun” (which will probably be the second single off “Apocalyptic Love“) and “Back from Cali” (from the first Slash solo record featuring Myles Kennedy.)  Check the clips from the LiveStream broadcast embedded in this Blabbermouth item on the band here.   Man, a gal pal pointed out what an awesome six-pack my friend Myles sports.  I tend to agree! (Sorry girls, he’s married!)  Slash was also on Piers Morgan’s CNN show on Wed night and here’s a snippet.  From knowing Slash the little bit I do, I know how freakin’ sick and tired he is of speaking of Axl Rose.  I actually cringe every time an interviewer brings him up in an interview.  Sure wish people would get over this already.  The sheer fact is:  that was then, this is now.  There will never be a reunion.  Get over it!….Serj Tankian has posted the video with his band The FCC of his new single “Figure It Out.”  Warning:  he says words that you hear on the street every day!  ;>  …I posted new tours for Charm City Devils and for Evans Blue in Road Rage…..Have a killer weekend, gang!  Here in the states, it’s our Memorial Day weekend.   Monday is a holiday and yours truly will be with her boyfriend at the cabin on the lake.  But this weekend,  you can hear one of our favorite shows of the year:  the hardDrive “Cover It Up”  special edition with brand new interviews and cover songs to delight you!   Be sure to check it out!   Celebrating birthdays:  Saturday:  Lenny Kravitz (last seen in The Hunger Games) turns 48 and Matt Stone of South Park and Book of Mormon fame turns a mere 41.  On Sunday, my pal Sean Kinney of Alice in Chains turns a rip old 46.   See ya Tuesday!
