Congrats to Slash! His “Apocalyptic Love” is the Number 4 most purchased album in the U.S. this week! Slash has worked really hard to promote this album he’s really proud of. Meanwhile, Guns N’ Roses have done it again: the current Axl Rose-led version of the band did not take the stage at the Manchester Arena in Manchester, England until after 11:00 p.m. — the actual curfew for the show to end — on Tuesday night (May 29th). The band played its full, three-hour show, but most fans didn’t stick around to see the whole thing. By the end, there were reportedly only 6,000 fans scattered around the 16,000-seat venue. Many fans took to Twitter to voice their anger toward the band one fan called “Goons N’ Losers.” Love that! (NME)….Saw this item on Blabbermouth on why the next Alice in Chains album is taking so damn long! Here’s an excerpt from the interview with Jerry Cantrell at Grammy.com: Cantrell: It’ll depend on when it’s done. We started writing stuff last year. I think we’re all good with that now, so now it’s time to cut it. So we’re gonna try to, but if not, it’ll probably be out early next year. It’ll be out about three or four minutes after we’re finished [laughs]. Give the record company time to set it up and plan the attack and tour for hopefully a year, year and a half. Grammy.com: So the writing is pretty much done though? Cantrell: The thing that set me back is I had some bone spurs [and] cartilage issues in my shoulders. I had the same issue in the other shoulder about six years ago so I’ve had them both done now. It’s a repetitive motion injury from playing. But the repair takes a year [laughs]. So that kind of set us back a little bit, but it takes time anyway — my body started a vacation. Read the entire interview from Grammy.com…..Slipknot1.com posted a new clip. This time for # 1 Joey Jordison. Check it out, it’s very cool!
