Happy Friday! Hope you all stay cool this weekend! I think that 100+ degree weather is following me wherever I go! MAKE IT STOP!… Blabbermouth reports Avenged Sevenfold guitarist Zacky Vengeance told a Quebec City radio station the band plans to start work on its sixth studio album this fall. Backstage at the Orion Music + More festival last weekend, Vengeance said, “We’ve been home for awhile, just taking a little rest, and after these shows, we’re gonna rest a little bit longer — just for the summer. We’ve never really had a summer to just be home and just unwind. But after that, as soon as summertime starts winding down, it’s gonna be (time to start) getting together to start writing, working on new material.” Zacky added has no idea what the follow-up to 2010’s Nightmare might sound like, saying, “You never know how it’s gonna go once you start, but hopefully we’ll have some songs we’re really, really proud of and get to work on recording them and get back out on the road again.” (Thanks Pulse of Radio)…..This report is crazy I just saw over on Loudwire! Lamb of God singer Randy Blythe was reportedly arrested yesterday (Jun 28) in the Czech Republic on apparent manslaughter charges that date back to a 2010 incident. The Czech news website Novinky reported Blythe engaged in a fight with a fan during the band’s show at the Prague club Abaton in May 2010, and the fan later died of his injuries. The band’s management refuted that information and will be issuing an official statement on Monday regarding the charges made against singer Randy Blythe. As no formal charges have yet been made and the case is only in the investigation stages, it would be premature to make an official statement filled with false truths or innuendos. Having said that, management wished to address one false piece of information that has been included in many of the news stories released so far. Under no circumstances was there a fight of any kind involved. This incident deals with a fan that three times during the concert jumped the barricade and rushed Randy during the performance. It is alleged that the third time, security was not able to reach him and that Randy pushed him back into the audience where supposedly he fell and hit his head. Again, until the investigation is concluded this weekend, nothing more will be released, but clarity and the facts needed to be addressed on this one reported point which is totally inaccurate. Lamb of God have been touring the world in support of their ‘Resolution’ album and have been filming a documentary capturing the sights and sounds of the trek….Happy 44th on Saturday Jun 30 to Philip Anselmo, Happy 30 to Dan Jacobs of Atreyu and Happy 46th to Iron Mike Tyson! And Happy 10th anniversary to me and my homie!
