Listening to the new Tremonti All I Was cd from the amazing Mark Tremonti, who will be in the hardDriveRadio studios here in NYC this morning. Am I psyched? You bet ya! I think Mark is one of the best rock guitarists out there today. And then to hear his vocals, which at first I wasn’t sure if he could pull it off, but they’re even better than imagined. The guitar work on the title track alone will blow your mind! Does the guy only have ten fingers or what? Anyhow, be listening for an in-studio interview with Mark soon on the shows….Lots of festivals for the fall to look forward to and that means more contests for YOU! I am going to work hard to get ya a trip to see one or more of these babies:
Epicenter: Sep 22: Stone Temple Pilots, Deftones, Bush, Chevelle, Hollywood Undead, Dead Sara, Scars on Broadway, Escape the Fate, Hyro da Hero, Crash Kings. Irvine, CA @ Irvine Meadows. Desert Uprising: First annual desert two-day extravaganza in Phoenix, AZ Sep 28 & 29, with the entire UPROAR TOUR line up (Shinedown, Godsmack, Staind, Papa Roach, Adelitas Way, P.O.D., Deuce, Fozzy, Redlight King, Candlelight Red, Mindset Evolution) on the 29th and Rob Zombie, Marilyn Manson, Stone Sour, Buckcherry, Art of Dying, All That Remains, New Medicine, Red Line Chemistry and Otherwise. Oh yes, that is HUGE. Which makes me wonder what the Second Annual 48 Hour Festival line-up will be. If I were a betting gal, I would say the 48-Hours Festival could look something like the Phoenix dates, but with some other bands, possibly Stone Temple Pilots or Linkin Park or even Green Day? We should be getting a handle on the deets soon….Then there’s the I Heart Radio Festival, that was a huge mixed genre event in Vegas last fall. So far, we’ve heard it will include Linkin Park and Green Day. Nice starters, eh? So save your pennies, kids, there’s lots of big events on the horizon out west….New albums in stores today: P.O.D.
