Happy Friday the 13th! Don’t cross a black cat’s path, don’t walk under a ladder and definitely don’t step on a crack!….And to go along with the theme of the day, the TWINS OF EVIL tour has been announced starring Rob Zombie and Marilyn Manson with my friend Jonathan Davis of Korn performing as that scary ass DJ dude J Devil who’ll be bringing his own set of evil electronic music to the stage with some added theatrical stuff mixed in. Should be killer! See the Road Rage page for the deets. It appears the bill is part of the second day of the 48 Hours Festival too! If I were to wager a bet, I’d say the Rockstar Energy Drink Uproar line up is day one, with some other bands in the works for the second day. But what do I know? ; >…I’ve been told the Offspring tour will be announced on Monday. Dead Sara (love them) will be opening….Well, it only took him 14 years, but Detroit’s rock legend Bob Seger finally made a comment about Metallica‘s cover version of his 1973 hit “Turn the Page.” When asked for his thoughts on Metallica’s, which appears on the band’s ’98 covers/compilation album Garage Inc., Seger told Artisan News, “I loved it. They told me they were gonna it and I loved it. I really liked the drums, especially, because our drums are really simple. [It was] a cool take on it. It’s been done before. I tend to agree with him….Celebrating birthdays on Sunday, Serj’s System of a Down and Scars on Broadway drummer John Dolmayan is 39 and Chi Cheng of the Deftones turns 42. Sadly, he has been in a coma since 2008. Say a prayer for him today.
