Man, what a storm that hit NYC yesterday afternoon! I have never seen hail and such winds, which actually blew the soot of the city all over my desk and actually showered me with gunk as I looked out the window behind my desk! It was scary, really. Pounding rain! Wish that rain could have moved into the mid-west where it’s desperately needed! Come on Mother Nature, be kind!…..I hear the song title of the new Three Days Grace single will be “Chaulk Lines.” It’s coming in about a month. We hope to have the band in our studios sometime around the last week of July! Now can that be called a form of child abuse?….Nine Inch Nails main man Trent Reznor appears in a new video interview about his involvement in Call Of Duty: Black Ops 2. Reznor is joined in the interview by writer David S. Goyer, studio head Mark Lamia and game director Dave Anthony to discuss the relationship between movies, music and games, as well as the creative process behind Call Of Duty: Black Ops 2. The game is due out on November 13th. (Antiquiet)….Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea is releasing a solo project to raise funds for the Silverlake Conservatory of Music, the music school he founded in Los Angeles. The record, an EP called Helen Burns, will be issued within the next few days. Flea wrote on Twitter, “I am putting out an EP I made by myself in a couple of days. It is obscure, arty, mostly instrumental music, except when Patti Smith sings. My EP is called Helen Burns. All proceeds from my Helen Burns EP will go towards the Silverlake Conservatory of Music. It will be available for download at any price you want to pay.” ….Rumor has it the 48 Hours Festival is going to undergo a name change. Dunno why, but it will. I wonder what it will be?
