Sorry I missed ya yesterday. Been a little under the weather…..News today, I am thrilled to have the chance to see the Rolling Stones at one of their 50th anniversary concerts. The band has announced 4 dates: 2 in late Nov in London at the O2 Arena and 2 in Dec in Newark, NJ @ the Prudential Ctr. When I was a teen, the Stones and the Beatles were the bands everyone was into. Great to see them still rockin’ hard! I last saw them in the mid-90’s at Madison Square Garden….Pulse of Radio reports Metallica lead guitarist Kirk Hammett has just published his first book, an oversized photo book called Too Much Horror Business – The Kirk Hammett Collection, with hundreds of pictures of his massive horror memorabilia collection. Hammett, who has been collecting items and watching horror movies since he was a child, told Loudwire why he thinks the genre is so popular. He explained, “They’re just fun. They’re a fun experience. It’s not unlike a roller coaster ride, you know? A good horror movie should have peaks and valleys, a good horror movie should move you emotionally, a good horror movie should be exciting to watch and energizing in a weird kind of way . . . horror movies deliver that.” Hammett added, “I’ve always been attracted to the darker things in life. I was never one to go for light, airy stuff, even as a child. My whole aesthetic has always been one of the darker side. That rings true also in my tastes in music.” Check out a video of Kirk’s appearance at a NY Barnes & Noble here and check out his book here. Speaking of Metallica, the band has just released a 500-piece puzzle of the artwork for the band’s classic 1986 album Master Of Puppets, as well as a 200-piece puzzle featuring the artwork for the group’s 1988 follow-up, . . . Reznor remarked, “We’re playing in Prague, but I see flyers up for Radiohead, who are playing the same place we’re playing, six months from then. Then I walk into the record shop, and there isn’t a section that says Nine Inch Nails.” Reznor said giving up some control was worth having an international marketing and distribution company backing him up again. How To Destroy Angels release their An Omen EP through Columbia Records on November 13th. We’ve been inquiring about an interview with Trent.
