They should be fired!…..Well, spoke with M Shadows yesterday of Avenged Sevenfold! So nice catching up with him and the haps of A7X! Here’s where the band is on new stuff. After they recorded “Carry On” last August, they got into a serious writing mode. “I try not to say too much about the album because you know how the Internet world is, so I’ll just say this: we have a direction, we’re sticking to that direction, and we feel really very happy writing in these terms that we’ve laid out for ourselves. The album is coming along very nicely, we’re excited to get in the studio, we have about six songs that I’m really happy with right now, and we’re continuing to write every single day.” He didn’t elaborate on the direction, but if “Carry On” is any indication, it is a good one! He also told me to look for the album in June or July when the band plan to be on a massive tour! (I’m a betting woman and I would wager it’ll the RockStar Mayhem Tour, but don’t quote me!) Needless to say, the band was forced to leave their current tour with All That Remains, Dethklok and Black Dahlia Murder. Waiting to see if the slot will be replaced on the still in motion tour…..Stone Sour has released a music video for “Absolute Zero,” a song off the new album House Of Gold And Bones, Part 1. You can find it right now at RollingStone.com. Frontman Corey Taylor said, “‘Absolute Zero’ is the anti-hero anthem of House Of Gold And Bones, Part 1. It essentially lets you know that the hero isn’t perfect, but he will do whatever is necessary. The video is loosely based on the fact that in the short story, the hero ends up in a very strange world and he has to figure out what’s going on and what he’ll do.” House Of Gold And Bones, Part 1 is the first half of a double concept album, with the second half coming out next spring.
