It’s finally HERE! The opening night of the hardDrive Live Five tour starts tonight in Denver and we couldn’t be more proud and excited! Thanks to all of our radio partners who are helping to promote this run! Our local stations are presenting a great listener experience in each city, with tickets, Best Seat in the House with Bullet For My Valentine, a soundcheck experience with Halestorm and a meet N greet with Young Guns. And don’t forget, we’re in the middle of our national contest, trips for three lucky hardDriveRadio listeners to go to see this bill as part of Rock on the Range in Columbus, OH for three days in May! And to top that off, we are excited to help launch a new phone app called Vivogig. You get the app on your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch and take pictures with the Vivogig camera along the hardDrive Live Five tour! Vivogig knows what show and venue you are at automatically and will upload the shots to the hardDrive Live Photo Gallery. Lou Brutus is going to pick a grand prize winner at the end of the tour who’ll receive an Epiphone guitar and a drumhead, both signed by the bands. Also in the prize pack are t-shirts (one from each band), a cool lens from Olloclip that attaches to your iPhone camera eye to help enhance your shots, and a 3 cd set-one cd from each band! There’ll be runner up prizes too! And there will also be a secondary prize where other fans get to vote on the best shot of Bullet For My Valentine, Halestorm and Young Guns. Each picture will be printed on a canvas, signed by the individual band and sent to the winner. So great opportunities for you, not to mention, GREAT MUSIC! If you are at the shows, I wanna hear from you! Email via the link on the home page please! And don’t forget to Facebook us too! (harddriveradio). Also, we’ve posted new interview videos with Bullet For My Valentine and Young Guns on our YouTube Channel as well as on the Sites & Soundspage here. Check it out! (And we’re not leaving Halestorm out! We’ll have one with them later in the tour!)….Man, I can’t believe I missed this! Alice In Chains were the musical guests on Wednesday night’s (April 10th) edition of ABC-TV’s Jimmy Kimmel Live! The band performed three songs — “Stone,” “Hollow” and “Man In The Box” — on the show’s outdoor stage in front of a standing-room-only crowd. The first two tracks are from the band’s new album, The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here, which is scheduled for release on May 28th. Video footage of the performance is now online. (Blabbermouth)…Nine Inch Nails, Queens Of The Stone Age and Imagine Dragons have been confirmed to appear at the second annual Made In America festival, organized by rap superstar Jay-Z. The hip-hop mogul’s wife, Beyonce, will also perform, along with Phoenix, the Gaslight Anthem, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis and others. The event will take place in Philadelphia over Labor Day weekend, Aug 31st & Sep 1st. A ticket pre-order is happening on Tuesday, April 16th, with general public sales starting on the 17th. Some of the proceeds from ticket sales will go to the local United Way chapters in Greater Philadelphia, southern New Jersey and Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. (Audio Ink Radio)….Blabbermouth also reports Five Finger Death Punch has finished recording and has now begun mixing its fourth studio album at Las Vegas’ The Hideout Recording Studio with producer Kevin Churko. I’ve heard from a close source that it’s probably some of the best stuff they’ve EVER done!!!!! Guitarist Zoltan Bathory tweeted, “LOVE how this is turning out! Also we got some unexpected special guests — you guys going to love this.” (Funny, he even tweets with an accent!) The band hopes to get the album out this summer in time for its stint on the Rockstar Energy Mayhem Festival tour alongside Rob Zombie. And speaking of Mr Zombie, the director, musician and comic book maven will be coming to the hardDrive studios here in NYC on Monday! So stoked! Be looking for a video interview with him in the coming weeks as well! He’s got so much happening! His film. The Lords of Salem, opens in theaters a week from today on the 19th. A soundtrack for the film,, which features several new John 5 tunes, as well as songs by Rush, The Velvet Underground, Manfred Mann and Rick James, as well as movie score music, is set for Tuesday, then there’s his new Venomous Rat Regenerator Vendor album out on the 23rd. So life is good, a particularly hectic, for one Robert Cummings! And yes, I will ask how he ever came up wth that damn new album title that’s so impossible to say three times fast! LOL On the record, he covers Grand Funk Railroad‘s “We’re An American Band”!! Love it! And he’s got another tongue-twisting title “Ging Gang Gong De Do Gong De Laga Raga,” and other cool tunes like “Lucifer Rising,” “Behold! The Pretty Filthy Creatures.” And he directed the video for “Dead City Radio & The New Gods of Super Town.” Check that out here and yes, it features his awesome wife, Sheri Moon Zombie, who also is the lead actress in “The Lords of Salem“! I should be getting my screener copy today! OOOhhh goodie, scary movie weekend…..Happy Birthday greetings today to Art Alexakis of Everclear turning 51, 311’s Nick Hexum is 43 and Claire (Homeland) Danes is 34! On Saturday, Aaron Lewis of Staind turns 41. Have a great weekend, y’all! See ya Monday!
