Good day! A week til I leave for the 2013 Rock on the Range 3-day festival and just knowing that I will be seeing Korn perform with Head for the first time in 8 years makes my toes curl! And then there’s Alice in Chains, Soundgarden and a ton of others, I just can’t wait!….One artist I know I will be hugging tightly is David Draiman of Device on the wonderful (and now public) news he and his wife are expecting Samuel Bear Draiman! He has posted online a sonogram photo of the unborn baby boy he and his wife, Japanese-American model and former WWE wrestler Lena Yada, are expecting later this year. Draiman revealed the news of the pregnancy last Thursday (May 2nd) on Twitter and also let the audience know at the Revolver Golden Gods awards that same night. Draiman and Yada were married in September 2011 and reside in a beautiful villa in Austin, TX. (Man, they are gonna have to baby proof that place! It has one of those pools with no rims…there’s word for them, but it escapes me.) Anyhow, I’ve been messaging with them both and they couldn’t be more excited! Mazel tov!….Pulse Content also posted the new Deftones video for “Swerve City.” It’s great, although I am thinking how saddle-sore that poor woman must’ve been riding in sundress! The ending is eerie. Watch it here…..SO sad to watch someone crash and burn, and that is certainly the case here. Puddle Of Mudd frontman Wes Scantlin has reportedly been arrested again, according to TMZ. Scantlin was stopped for speeding on Tuesday night (May 7th) and was booked by Hollywood police after they ran his information and found two outstanding warrants for his arrest — one for driving with a suspended license and the other related to his January 2012 cocaine possession bust. Scantlin was pulled over at around 11:30 p.m. PT and released a few hours later after posting $11,176 in bail. Wes has been on a slippery slope for a while, since the estrangement and subsequent divorce from his wife Jessica. Back in February, his ex-wife claimed he stole her car. It was returned hours later although Scantlin’s manager denied that the singer took it. After pleading guilty last summer to the cocaine charge, Scantlin was ordered into a drug counseling program and told he would have the possession charge against him dropped if he completed the program within 18 months. He was also charged with public intoxication last year after being thrown off a Jet Blue flight from Boston to Los Angeles, although the judge in the case ruled that there was “insufficient evidence” to prosecute the singer. Wes has also had problems with back tax payments in addition to last year’s ugly divorce battle with Jessica….Lou Brutus had Ivan Moody of Five Finger Death Punch on the hotLine, Ivan’s first national radio interview to discuss the band’s forthcoming album (I can’t reveal title til May 28th).
