Glad to hear Jinxx is ok….Yesterday, I was on the hotLine with James Clark, frontman from Throw The Fight, the band who will be opening the hardDrive Live Tour. James revealed to me that he beat testicular cancer a while back. It was in 2009 when he wasn’t feeling great and went to the doctor. Blood work came back abnormal so they checked further to find cancer! But luckily it was caught early and he received surgery and is fine now. Just a little lesson to all. You can be young and have a serious disease. Make sure to seek medical help because you never know! Meanwhile, their new single, which I helped to choose, “One Step Away,” is coming out soon from their new album, produced by John Feldmann. I like these guys from Minnesota, so be listening for a Plugged In and Nu 2 U Tue features spotlighting James and his band…Waiting to get a steet date from the Korn Kamp on the new single! I am stoked since it is one of the songs JD played for me and the one I loved. : D Can’t wait to get my mitts on it!…..Very excited about my interview on Monday with Stone Temple Pilots brothers Dean and Robert Deleo! Looking forward to seeing them this year! They’ve announced just a couple of shows so far. More are coming and October is when the EP will be released last I heard. Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich has gotten engaged to model Jessica Miller, according to Blabbermouth. Ulrich, Miller and a close-knit group of family members celebrated the engagement at N9NE Steakhouse at Palms Casino Resort in Miller’s hometown of Las Vegas. The 49-year-old Ulrich has been married twice before and has two sons, 14-year-old Myles and 12-year-old Layne, from his second marriage to Skylar Satenstein. He also has a six-year-old boy named Bryce from a previous relationship with Danish actress Connie Nielsen. Miller is 29 years old and was previously in a relationship with System Of A Down guitarist Daron Malakian. She has appeared on the covers of international editions of Vogue magazine and has also been a model for Gap, H&M, Chanel and others. Here is a picture of the happy couple…..Sorry to hear Hinder vocalist Austin Winkler has left the band’s current tour due to unspecified personal reasons, according to a statement issued by the group. The statement read in part, “Our thoughts and prayers are with him in this time and we know that he will be just fine. However, the band has decided, instead of canceling shows and leaving our die-hard fans hanging, we’re going to keep the good times rolling on the road this summer. We have some guests filling in to help us out and promise you won’t be disappointed! For those of you that have your tickets already, get ready for a great time! For those of you that don’t, you won’t want to miss out!” Filling on all the upcoming dates will be Saving Abel‘s Jared Weeks and Faktion & Drankmore‘s Marshal Dutton. Austin’s been on the wagon, but working and touring with his bandmates, especially Blower, has got to be hard when you are trying to keep sober! I think those boys brush their teeth with beer! So whatever the reason Austin had to leave, we wish him the best….Loudwire reports Rage Against The Machine vocalist Zack de la Rocha and Faith No More frontman Mike Patton both make guest appearances on new music from Deltron 3030, an alternative hip hop supergroup consisting of producer Dan The Automator, Kid Koala and Del The Funky Homosapien. Patton is featured on the title track of an EP called City Rising From The Ashes, which comes out August 13th, while De la Rocha contributes to a song called “Melding Of The Minds.” A full-length album called Deltron Event II arrives on October 1st. Other guest artists showing up on one of the two new releases include actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt and AWOLNation singer Aaron Bruno….Today I will be on the hotLine with Justin Cordle of We As Human.
