What a spectacular weekend! Weather was amazing. Was very hard to pry me out of the rocking chair yesterday to make the drive back to the city. But, alas, here I am in front of the computer. Here’s some news for youse: Stone Sour and Slipknot singer Corey Taylor‘s recently published book, A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To Heaven (Or, How I Made Peace With The Paranormal And Stigmatized Zealots And Cynics In The Process), chronicles Taylor’s experiences with the paranormal and his quest to find an explanation for such incidents. Taylor told me he decided to seek out answers after too many strange things happened to him and around him: “It’s amazing what people will come up with to rationalize something that can’t be rationalized. Look, if something has a definite, real explanation, I’m the first to go, ‘Oh, OK, that makes sense.’ But some things cannot be explained, like a thermos being thrown behind me when I’m the only one awake in the house at seven in the morning. The list goes on and on for me, you know, so it’s like, it’s time for me to start kind of figuring things out for myself.” Meanwhile, check Corey out, and truly, he is such a geek! LOL …No, I missed the VMA‘s last night, and frankly, I am happy about that. Had I had watched Miley Cyrus‘ performance, or Taylor Swift acting like a 16 yr old in Mom’s dress, I would’ve cursed the tv and changed the station anyhow. So there ya go. Besides, Breaking Bad, yo!…Watched System Of A Down‘s performance of “Radio/Video” from Reading Festival in England. You can too. There’s also a killer performance video of Bring Me The Horizon. Thanks Metal Hammer/BBC….And you can find more performances like The Deftones over on the Reading + Leeds Festivals’ website…. Also found a cool & very revealing in-studio interview, with Jonathan Davis from Korn. Check it out here….Also found this Jane’s Addiction performance of “Another Soulmate” from the Rockstar Uproar stop in Chicago. And here is the lyric video for that brand new song, too. (Thanks Blabbermouth.)….Avenged Sevenfold’s Arin Ilejay, Johnny Christ and Zack Vengeance did an interview to talk about the new album. Watch it here…..Gotta run. Have a great day!
