It’s a very dark theme, so say the least!….Singer Myles Kennedy performs alongside not one, but two of the most respected guitar players in rock. In Alter Bridge, Kennedy plays alongside Mark Tremonti, and when not working with Alter Bridge, he is the singer for legendary guitarist Slash‘s band, The Conspirators. We asked Kennedy if the two guitarists are similar in any way: “You want to know a funny similarity? No one’s ever asked me this. Neither one of them like fish (laughs). It’s fascinating. They both — Mark Tremonti and Slash — cannot stand fish. But as far as people and as guitar players, they both are extremely hard workers, and there’s a reason that they have both gotten to the position and have acquired the amount of respect from their peers, because they have great work ethics, and they’re both riffmasters.” And they are two of the most humble folks you will ever meet!…..Metallica on “The Colbert Report’ was CLASSIC! You MUST watch! And they performed “Master Of Puppets” and “For Whom The Bell Tolls.” Check out some making of clips here and here. Did you know they spent $20 million of their OWN $$$ to finance this?!! Today they are rocking the four corners of the US attending late night premieres of their movie, Metallica: Through The Never. See yesterday’s DIRT for the spots…..Mastodon are going to enter the studio to record their new album in November. They are looking at a late winter/early spring release. It’s jam packed with tons of the top artists talking about their bouts with bullying, how they overcame their issue and how to avoid one.
