OK, so now I have a torn ligament and have to wear the ugliest shoes ever made by man! But boy, are they sure comfy!…..Yesterday, I saw David Draiman posted on his Facebook he made the hard decision of not touring with Avenged Sevenfold overseas because he simply could not leave his family (his new born son Samuel Bear and his beautiful wife Lena.) And I gotta say, good on ya, David! As other parents say, you can never get back this time in your life, especially when it’s your first, and the thought of leaving home was killing him. Hey, we understand. Hope the rest of the guys in Device do as well….Pulse of Radio reports Linkin Park will perform its 2000 debut album, Hybrid Theory, in full at this year’s Download Festival, scheduled to take place on June 13th, 14th and 15th, 2014 at Donnington Park in England. According to Classic Rock, Linkin Park will headline the second night of the event, on Saturday, June 14th, with Fall Out Boy taking the stage directly before them. This will be the first time Linkin Park has ever performed Hybrid Theory from start to finish live, and probably the first time in years that a number of songs from the album have been revived in concert. Linkin Park singer Chester Bennington said, “We’ve been kicking around the idea of playing Hybrid Theory for some time — and Download is the perfect opportunity. The legendary energy of the crowd is the apex of the rock experience, and we’re very excited to share this special night with them.” Other acts confirmed for Download include fellow headliners Avenged Sevenfold as well as Rob Zombie. Hybrid Theory — the band’s original name before it was changed to Linkin Park for legal reasons — was issued in October 2000 and was a breakout success for the group, which had formed in 1996 and had played the Los Angeles club scene for several years. The album yielded four massive hit singles — “One Step Closer,” “Crawling,” “Papercut” and “In The End” — while going on to sell more than 10 million copies in the U.S. alone…Pop Evil has unveiled the dates and venues for its final tour of 2013, a headlining run that will kick off in Traverse City, MI this Friday (Nov 8th) and finish up just days before Christmas on Dec 21st in Covington, Kentucky. Pop Evil is capping off its busiest year ever, which included the release of its third album, Onyx, as well as the success of the disc’s first single, “Trenches,” which hit Number One on the Active Rock chart. They are currently chasing their possible second number 1 of the year with “Deal With The Devil.”….Blabbermouth reports lifelong horror enthusiast and Metallica guitarist Kirk Hammett recently spoke to Nikki Blakk of the San Francisco, CA radio station 107.7 The Bone about his first annual horror convention, dubbed Kirk Von Hammett’s Fear FestEviL, which will take place Feb 6-8, 2014 at The Regency Ballroom in San Francisco. Nothing!!! And because I’ve seen some conventions turn from back-room gatherings of like-minded dorks into mainstream hipster extravaganzas, rest assured that it’s my intention to make this a great experience where all things horror, weird, and nerdy are celebrated! So come one and all!!!” Already confirmed to attend as panelists will be Slash, makeup FX legend Greg Nicotero (“The Walking Dead”), Tom Savini (“Dawn Of The Dead”), and John A.
