Exciting news coming out of the Linkin Park camp today, and all Mike Shinoda would tell me was for fans to keep an eye on their Twitter and social media sites. I went to the band’s website and saw they announced the name of a single “Guilty All The Same” featuring Rakim over on Shazam. All I really found there was a snippet, but I actually found the song on Metal Hammer‘s site. WHOA ! <a href="” target=”_blank”>Check it out! Radio is getting an edited version without Rakim’s rap parts and a shorter version. I asked the significance of “The Hunting Party 6-14” and Mike just said we have to wait! (Album title and release date perhaps?) In two weeks, more info is coming. He did tell me the band is going to deliver their new music in new and creative ways (hmmmm…) Also chatted briefly with Tomo Miličević of 30 Seconds To Mars. Interesting and lucky guy! His first concert: Nirvana when he was in the 6th grade! Thanks to his big sister, he got to go to the show millions only wish they also could’ve seen! More tomorrow when I talk to Chester Bennington this afternoon…..New music is coming from Powerman 5000! I was one of the first to hear “How To Be A Human,” which will be release in a few weeks. Sounds awesome! Lou Brutus will have Spider One on the hotLine in a couple of weeks…The Pretty Reckless singer Taylor Momsen has a message for anyone who wants to judge her by her appearance, her personal life or her current job: it’s none of your business. Momsen, still best known for her role as good-girl-gone-bad Jenny Humphrey on the show Gossip Girl, told Kerrang! magazine, “I don’t live my personal life publicly. What I do personally is, frankly, none of your business. If someone takes a picture of me smoking, they call me a bad role model . . . I’m just an artist. The role model is the music, not me as a person. I’m not here to be your entertainment — the music is.”….The Devil You Know is the new band formed by Howard Jones, former lead singer of Killswitch Engage. Their debut album, The Beauty of Destruction, is out Apil 28th and the first track off it is called “Seven Years Alone.”…Happy 68th today to Pink Floyd vocalist/guitarist David Gilmour.
