Love this time of year! Baseball and football played all day and all night. OK, I don’t love it as much as the BF, but there ya go.
File this under “If The Shoe Fits!” Alternative Press reporting today after a meet-and-greet with the Foo Fighters in Washington D.C., one fan named Sabryn went home with Dave Grohl’s shoe.
Sabryn tells how it happened: “Dave brought his doctor out once he saw that I was on crutches, and that’s when his doctor mentioned that I was supposed to wear a shoe with my brace. I told him that my shoes didn’t fit over it because it’s pretty big and my shoes are kinda small. So Dave said, ‘You need one of my big high tops!’
Grohl went to his dressing room and brought out his own shoe and gave it to her. Sabryn tweeted her gratitude following the concert. Foo Fighters are currently touring North America in support of their newest record, Concrete And Gold. Aw, Dave! You are da man!
Spin reporting items from the Kurt Cobain estate are on auction, including his MTV Video Music Award Moonman and things like his Blockbuster membership card. I’d like to meet the person who says, “Yeah, I’ll bid on that Blockbuster card! I want to add it to my collection!” Are you that person? Check the collection out here.

One of my favs, Of Mice & Men posted their mini-behind-the-scenes-documentary of their career post-Austin Carlile on Friday. It shows them on the road on several continents and while on the road, they’re also finishing up a new album, which was recorded with Grammy-nominated producer Howard Benson (All That Remains, My Chemical Romance, In Flames.)
The disc will mark Of Mice & Men’s first full-length release without vocalist Austin Carlile, who left the group due to the progression of his ongoing battle with Marfan Syndrome. Handling lead vocals in the band now is Aaron Pauley.
I got to watch the documentary on Saturday morning and was freaked there is a glimpse of me in it at around 12:10 into the clip! LOL That was at Rock On The Range in May when the show was halted due to a Code Red (tornado) warning and the crowd was ordered to take shelter. I felt sorry for the guys because, actually, their entire DAY was messed up due to complications with their flight out of Los Angeles, connections and such, so they didn’t even GET to the stadium ’til that morning without much sleep. Then their 3:30 set time was postponed til 7:30 PM and they had to hang with the rest of us behind the mainstage. So I took the opportunity to get an interview while we hung around. HA! Was so surprised when I saw it! LOL

Did Will even leave the Upside Down? On Friday the 13th, Netflix released its second and final trailer for the second season of Stranger Things. It’s not like it was before,” Chief Hopper narrates. “It’s grown.” And it seems only Will can put an end to the alien invasion (with a little help from the power of Eleven). Get ready! Season 2 premieres Oct 27th.
GAME OF THRONES ACTORS WON’T RECEIVE SCRIPTS: Security is super tight for Season 8 on Game of Thrones. HBO brass has decreed that actors won’t even get episode scripts, according to reports. Instead, they’ll be fed dialogue through earpieces a la Johnny Depp. This news comes down after Season 7 was plagued with plot leaks and spoilers. Do you think actors will be as convincing in their roles if they can practice ahead of time with scripts? Hmmmm….
Celebrating life today: Red Hot Chili Pepper bassist Flea is 55 and Hellyeah’s Chad Gray is 46.
