Earlier this year, Korn’s Jonathan Davis released his first full-length solo album, Black Labyrinth, and now plans to talk about it.
On August 1, he’ll be in Hollywood to discuss the album and his long career with Korn, as he takes part in the Musician Institute’s Conversation Series.
Past guests have included Black Sabbath’s Tony Lommi and Rob Halford of Judas Priest. Tickets are free for students and alumni and the general public can get tickets on a first-come-first-serve basis.
The official lyric video for a Guns N. Roses song has been released. It’s an acoustic version of “Move To The City,” taken from the Locked N’ Loaded box reissue of the band’s classic 1987 debut album, Appetite For Destruction.
The box includes the Super Deluxe Edition with four CDs featuring the newly remastered album for the first time ever; B-sides N’ EPs newly remastered, as well as the previously unreleased 1986 Sound City Session N’ More recordings, plus bonus tracks and music videos.
The now infamous Baby Trump balloon that was created in protest of the President’s recent visit to London, made a stop at a Pearl Jam concert. During their London performance Tuesday night (July 17), fans were greeted by the dirigible as they entered the arena.
The band has been extremely vocal about their distaste for Trump and Eddie Vedder said this to the London crowd: “I know at home it feels very divisive. And it feels like he’s added such divisive energy to how we get along back home, but then I realized the other day watching all the protests down in the square… there were 250,000. He’s actually bringing people together.”
Vedder’s wife, Jill posted a photo and urged people to vote and said, “Yesterday’s meeting was terrifying, to say the least.”
Pearl Jam’s European leg of the tour has now ended and will kick off again with a series of baseball stadium appearances, starting Aug. 8 at Seattle’s Safeco Field.
