Good morning Radicals! Here’s the best way to kick off the day, with new music from Starset! Their new song “Manifest” will premiere at noon, so keep this link open:
With a new album on the way, Tool currently has all 10 spots in the positions of 1 through 10, on the Billboard’s Rock Digital Song Sales chart.
The new release will be nearly 85 minutes of music. It consists of seven songs and three interludes with an average of about 12 minutes per song, depending on which version of the album you listen to.
Drummer Danny Carey says he originally wanted the album to be one long song instead of 6. He explained: “When we get in that room, where it takes us… that’s where it goes. Four years ago, when we were looking at this, I wanted to try to do a record that was one giant song.”
According to Loudwire, “Chocolate Chip Trip” is one of the star instrumental tracks, standing out as one of Carey’s drumming masterpieces. He completed one of the most complicated parts – in only one take, while the rest of the band was taking a break.
Fear Inoculum will be released on August 30.
