HBD CAROL KAYE! Today we celebrate the 90th birthday of one of the greatest musicians in the history of popular music, Carol Kaye: The First Lady of the Bass. Her list of accomplishments would seem a fiction, but she did it all. In the 60s and 70's, as a member of the aggregate of LA-based studio musicians later known as "The Wrecking Crew," Carol played on over TEN-THOUSAND sessions including HUNDREDS of the biggest hits ever recorded. She can also be heard on many of the world's best known film and television soundtracks and themes.
