March 1st already! Time does March on! Ugh. Sorry about Davy Jones' of the Monkees passing on at 66. I gotta say, they were fun to watch (they tried to be the American Beatles.) They were surely inspired watching those Beatles' movies “Help” and “A Hard Day's Night.” They had a tv series in the 60's (find on YouTube.) I think I sang “Daydream Believer” all day yesterday and I remember buying “I'm a Believer” when it came out. Too young to go. Rest in peace, Davey!….Last night I saw Chevelle with Middle Class Rut and Janus. Actually Middle Class Rut (I didn't know the band was only two members!) stopped by the studios for an interview with Webmistress Shawn and today I interview Janus and Monday, Lou Brutus interviews Chevelle. X Factor's L.A. Reid (he's the president of Epic) and producer Jermaine Dupree were there, too, if only for a song or two from Chevelle. The band had about 100 fans from their fan club there too. So VIP was crammed to the gills. All the bands I thought put on great sets, and I was impressed by the staging Chevelle is using. Probably their best yet for club touring. Right on!….Slipknot's Joey Jordison told an Australian music news outlet he plans to record a new solo record and will start to put a band together. Good on ya, Joseph! What will it be like? “It's heavy,” he said! …..Gotta dash to get into the office. Not only will Janus be there, but our belated King Cake arrives from Metarie, LA today from Manny Randazzo's! The best in the world!….Happy 39th to Nickelback's Ryan Peake. The Who's Roger Daltrey turns 68 today! (WOW) and my heart-throb Javier Bardem is 43. What I wouldn't give……… ;>
